GECO IPL HOSTS GIPL Cricket Tournament:
Beginning April 2016, Floodlights at Albathaya Cricket Stadium were on for 45 days as GIPL hosted the GIPL Cricket Tournament. The grassy ground saw more than 16 teams from the HVAC industry and local teams competing for the Hardball Tournament Trophy. The Tournament was organized to create a full scale awareness among industry players and customers and use it as a platform to promote the name of GECO IPL in the industry. While the ultimate title was grabbed by Dhaid United, GECO IPL’s team grabbed 2nd Runners up position. Syed Ashfaq from GECO IPL was awarded ‘Man of the Series’.
Family Get Together:
This time around, GECO IPL management team arranged its Annual Family get together at Hilton Alhamra Beach & Golf Resort with a weekend trip. All the families gathered at the resort for 2 nights and days, engaging in a range of exciting activities and competitions. Different competitions were set out for children and families to make the most out of the 2 day trip. Coupled with the team building activities, families had plenty of time to cherish the beautiful and exquisite ambiance at the resort, far away from the hustle and bustle of business.
Appreciation Awards:
In Continuation of Annual Sales Meeting 2016, GECO IPL Hosted an event to distribute Appreciation awards to all the employees at GECO IPL for their immaculate services for the company during 2015. The appreciation awards were coupled with long service awards which were given to the following candidates:
- Syed Basit Hussain – 27 Years
- Tauqir Abbas – 25 Years
- Safder Mirza – 20 Years
GECO IPL’s Team visits Iceland Waterpark:
It was a thrilling weekend for GECOIPL Employees as they went on a full day tour to Iceland Water Park Ras ul Khaima. The Ice-themed scenery, high-speed slides and the wave pool provided an exhilarating experience for the employees. To make the event more engaging, the employees split up into teams to compete in various games and activities. The competition got intense especially in Volleyball, Soccer and Water Basketball. Following the activities, employees enjoyed a sumptuous lunch before calling it a day.
Safder Mirza promoted as Assistant General Manager GECO IPL:
In recognition of his unparalleled contribution to GECO IPL, Mr. Raheel Safder Mirza was promoted to Assistant General Manager in July 2016. Raheel has devoted more than 20 years to the company and under his leadership as Head of Sales & Marketing, the company has achieved a lot of business milestones. With this promotion and the entailing empowerment, Mr. Raheel is confident to achieve further landmarks to take the division to new heights.
Kalton Award:
Moving into 2016, GECO IPL completed 5 years of its successful business partnership with Kaltech Engineering Singapore. Over the 5 years, business between the two companies has grown leaps and bounds and Kaltech is now among the premium suppliers of GECO IPL. In order to celebrate their 5 years of business partnership, Kaltech Engineering awarded GECO IPL with Appreciation award this summer. The award comes in midst of a sole distributorship contract signed between GECO IPL and Kaltech Engineering.
