GIPL refrigerant reclaim division was created to help service an increasing demand for refrigerant management. Since the late seventies the effects of CFC and HCFC on the environment has been well documented.

GIPL has been working with companies like ICI imperial Chemical Company U.K who went on to develop environmentally friendly refrigerant gas Klea R134a to replace R12, which has high ozone depleting potential. Since the Montreal protocol the Klea brand has been one of the pioneers in the field and has developed a range of alternative products to replace the traditionally high ODB and GWP gases.

Working with ICIC, GIPL has developed a refrigerant reclaim division to ensure that the refrigerants supplied would not be vented but reclaimed to the ARI recommended levels.
